Elders Spirit Walk

We are preparing for our Spirit Walk event scheduled for
Saturday, October 19. Start time is 4 p.m. at Alices.
Our time together includes a potluck dinner.
At the Elders retreat, we decided that we will only read out loud the names of Fair family who have left this physical plane since last October.
After we read names, attendees can toss a paper into the fire with the names of Fair folks who have passed previously. This will allow us more time to express our reverence for each person mentioned.
Please submit names to Lisa Cooley. Remember, only those folks who passed since October 23.

SPIRIT WALK - SUPERMOON OCTOBER 2023
Below are a few images from the Spirit walk. Elder volunteers decorated Alice’s with a fall theme and there was a lot of yummy food. Then we walked to the main stage area where Lisa led a bell ringing ceremony remembering about 70 of us who had passed. It was a beautiful evening.

The Elder Events subcommittee is inviting all to join the 2023 Spirit Walk
10/27/23 Update:
Spirit walk gathering Location changed to Alice’s
The Bell ringing ceremony will be at the Main Stage at 5:45pm
The Spirit Walk is for the whole Fair Family and is sponsored by Elders.
This is the same night as the October full moon.
When: Saturday, October 28
Where: The Hub Yurt
The Hub Yurt is located on Chickadee Lane across from Alice’s and it is near the Hub Elder camp.
Time: You may arrive as early as noon/1pm.
Kay will be there to broom out and do some prep work. Arrive early to help with decorating and setting up the space.
At twilight (about 6:30pm) there will be a moonlight walk throughout the Fair where we can remember the people who passed.
After the walk-about we will have a potluck with a fall theme. There are plug-ins for crockpots, etc. Weather permitting, we could have a firepit.
Bell Ringing Ceremony
Lisa C. is organizing a bell ringing ceremony to honor those who have gone before us. Lisa is collecting the list of names of folks to be remembered. We will hold a moment of silence for each name.
To include someone on the list send an email or call/text Lisa.
